Ganpat University has formally constituted a University Sustainability Cell as the apex body to oversee sustainability governance, reporting, and SDG-aligned initiatives across all constituent institutes.
The Cell is chaired by the Vice Chancellor, with the Executive Registrar serving as Member Secretary, members include the senior executives, Director (IQAC), Deans of Faculties, Chief Engineer (Estate), one representative from the Estate Committee, one representative from the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC), and student representatives.
The Cell is responsible for policy formulation and periodic review, coordination of environmental and green audits, monitoring SDG-linked KPIs, and institutional data consolidation for sustainability reporting and rankings.
To support effective implementation, the following units function under the Sustainability Cell:
Estate Committee: Oversees campus infrastructure, water management, waste management, biodiversity conservation, and resource optimization.
Energy Innovation Centre (EIC): Serves as a specialized hub for advancing energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, performance monitoring, and innovation-driven sustainable energy solutions across the campus.
