About The Library

Ganpat University Library is like user-focused, innovative, and excellence driven. The library has always benefited from the institutes’ culture, is pioneer in adopting new technology, and is far ahead than many libraries in the country. Library manages knowledge, both in print and digital formats, ensures seamless discovery and access to these scholarly resources, and provides faculty, students, and staff with professional support to find, evaluate, manage, and use such resources. It provides high-quality ambiance for both reflective and collaborative work and study.

The University Libraries are engaged in learning and discovery as essential participants in the educational community. We develop, organize, provide access to and preserve materials to meet the needs of present and future generations of students and scholars. We explore and implement innovative technologies and services to deliver information and scholarly resources conveniently to users anytime/anyplace. We also provide well-equipped and functional physical spaces where students can pursue independent learning and discovery outside the classroom. The University Libraries support scholarship and research productivity and foster their vitality.

Functions of the library committee:

  • To formulate various policies related to library like, collection development, purchase, space etc.
  • To propose library budget for the Institutes and department
  • To propose library activities, Programmes and services
  • To propose library vision, strategy documen
  • To propose library and information literacy in the institute
  • To formulate knowledge and information archiving and management policy at the institute.

The significant initiative has been taken by the library committee are:

  • Building and Maintaining Knowledge (Institutional) Repository using D-Space software for preserving and archiving ETDs, faculty publications and institutional publications.
  • Library membership has been extended to Corporate Houses, Organizations and alumni students.
  • Remote Log-in Facility for accessing online resources is being provided to all faculty members and students of Ganpat University thus making online resources available 24X7 to the users.
  • Open Source web based Library Management System SOUL2.0 is being implemented in all libraries of Ganpat University.
  • Implementing Library policies – Library Material Purchase Policy, Book Bank Policy, Electronic Resource Access Policy, Remote Login Usage Policy, Weeding Out Policy.
  • Library Book Loan limit is increased for UG and PG Students.
  • Library is extended (added Bound Volume section)

  • Monday to Friday 09:00 am to 06:00 pm
  • Saturday 10:00 am to 05:00 pm
