The Student Development Cell of AMPICS organized a one-day workshop titled "Testing the Future: The Art & Science of Software Testing" on 23rd November 2024 at the AMPICS campus. The event, which began at 9:45 AM, aimed to explore the evolving methodologies, tools, and strategies shaping the future of software testing.
The workshop featured two distinguished speakers:
- Mr. Piyush M. Patel, an alumnus of AMPICS (BCA, 2012), currently working as a Team Lead at OPL Innovate.
- Mr. Jimit A. Patel, a seasoned professional serving as a Delivery & Resource Manager at QAble Test Labs Pvt. Ltd.
The session was coordinated by Dr. Savan K. Patel and Dr. Swati V. Patel, who ensured the event was well-organized and impactful. A total of 65 students actively participated, engaging in interactive discussions and activities.
The workshop commenced with the speakers sharing insights from their professional journeys and emphasizing the importance of software testing in the tech-driven world. They discussed cutting-edge tools, techniques, and industry best practices, offering students a glimpse into real-world applications.
Mr. Piyush M. Patel highlighted the role of teamwork and innovation in modern testing environments, while Mr. Jimit A. Patel focused on resource management and the strategic aspects of quality assurance in software development. Both speakers inspired participants with their knowledge and practical advice, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations .The event's hands-on activities enabled participants to apply the discussed concepts, fostering a better understanding of testing strategies and their significance in ensuring software quality.
Dr. Savan K. Patel remarked, "This workshop empowered students to think critically about software testing and prepared them to tackle real-world challenges with confidence." Dr. Swati V. Patel added, "Such events play a crucial role in equipping students with the skills and insights needed to thrive in the technology sector." The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving participants enriched with knowledge and inspired to pursue excellence in the field of software testing.
