Name of PO | Description | |||||
PO-1 | Demonstrate, solve and an understanding of major concepts in all disciplines of chemistry
PO-2 | Students will employ critical thinking and the scientific method to design, carry out, record and analyze the results of chemical experiments and get an awareness of the impact of chemistry on the environment, society, and other cultures outside the scientific community. |
|||||
PO-3 | Acquaint knowledge on Aromaticity, thermodynamics, coordination chemistry and methods of analysis related to chemical analysis goals such as detection of elements.
PO-4 | The design and execution of the experiment should demonstrate an understanding of good laboratory and the proper handling of chemical waste streams and also explain how the applications of Chemistry relates to the real world. |
|||||
PO-5 | Understand the concept of chemistry to inter relate and interact to the other subject like Botany, Zoology, mathematics, physics, biological science and learn the laboratory skills and safely to transfer and interpret knowledge entirely in the working environment. |
|||||
PO-6 | Acquaint knowledge on opportunities to participate in collaborative teams, Develop students’ written and oral communication skills to a wide range of audiences.
PO-7 | Upon completion of a degree, chemistry majors are able to employ critical thinking and scientific inquiry in the performance, design, interpretation and documentation of laboratory experiments.
PO-8 | Upon completion of a chemistry degree, chemistry majors are able to interpret and analyze quantitative data.
PO-9 | Programs are designed to introduce the students to modern laboratory methods and principles using state-of-the-art scientific equipment
PO-10 | Undergraduate students are exposed to applied laboratory techniques, critical thinking, independent and team learning, and are provided with research opportunities.
PO-11 | Application and fundamental knowledge to identify, formulate and investigate various chemical techniques, experiment design, research and development and industrial practice.
PO-12 | Enhance research capabilities and demonstrate problem identification, analysis and synthesis skills |
Program Educational Objectives (PEO)
PEO-1 Chemical Knowledge | The program has a strong focus on the chemical sciences and study in the area of drugs, medicines engineering chemistry, Pesticide, fuels and energy, material chemistry food chemistry etc.
PEO-2 Science Education | Acquire knowledge, conceptual understanding and skills to solve problems realted to chemistry and make informed decisions in scientific and other contexts.
