After completing 60 years, I was very eager to meet, someone
very important and somehow my dream remained unfulfilled until
I finally met Mr. Ganpatbhai Patel. Today it has finally happened.
In science, the best ever food across the globe is 'Khichadi' and
that is discovered by Gujarat. It is a mixture of many things and
hence, I too will mix many languages to convey my ideas.
We are the only race on the earth who have this flexibility and
ability to be multilingual. I am coming from a village near by and
studied throughout in Gujarati medium. I will try to talk about the
holistic education We are entering in an era where we have to go
for holistic education. We cannot be in isolation of subject. This in
an interdependent world and in it we must learn about
interdisciplinary knowledge. Learning can only happen when one
can be happy and take big decisions in life. We should ease out a
little in life.
Once I was travelling by a BRTS bus in Ahmedabad and during the
journey, I befriended my fellow traveller and to start
conversation, I said I am a poet and immediately, I received a reply
from him that I am deaf. This is called quick humor which is very
important.
When we enter the campus following the ideology of “vidhya
Somajotkarsh” under the leadership of two visionaries like Shri
Anilbhai and Shri Ganpatbhai, our responsibilities become very
high.
There is a difference between Growth and Development. If we
build roads, it is a growth; but if a poor man rides on his "bike using
that road, it is called Development. So how can we achieve this
'Social upliftment'? It is not only providing education but to create
'an environment where people choose to be educated. The
holistic education aims at the transformation of human being
which is based on ‘ASK’ theory which is the oldest Social theory of
Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. ‘A’ stands for "Attitude” which means
Bhakti. ‘S’ stands for “Skill” meaning 'Karma' and 'K' means
“Knowledge” which means Gyan in Sanskrit Language.
