Because after all we should have some kind of desire in us to feel proud that we are Indian.
And as Indian I can see that my country becomes great which is there what Swamiji dreamt
110 years ago, people never dreamt that China will become a superpower though the GDP of
both India and China were almost 2 or 3% of the world GDP. And Europe and all the great
nations who were ruling so many other countries like Africa and other nations, they were
ruling the world. Europe was the center of power. Germany was the center of power. America
was coming up some Asian countries like Japan after the world war. But when Swami was
there, even Japan was poor. But when he travelled to Japan and China, he could see when he
stayed there for two or three days he felt that these people have a patriotic spirit. They are
very proud to be Chinese, and though they are poor, they have the will to excel. And say
proudly that I am Chinese, I am Japanese.

He says, America is a land of opportunity. At that time, separated from England was trying to
grow on its own. And he says this was the land of opportunity, the land of freedom. Because
when he went there, there were no visa restrictions. People used to come from all countries
of the world, even now, American Jerusalem and people who are rejected by their country
and who are settled there because they found a land of opportunity.

Swamiji sharing from his own experience said , when I saw with my own eyes, That person ,
African, Black Africans, they used to be called Negroes at that time landing on the soil of
America, rejected by his own country came and landed in America with the hope of making
his future. And he says the moment he landed in America, everybody was greeting him as
Pat, let us work together, we have a great future. And Pat started believing what he did not
believe in his own country. He started believing after doing that. Because that landed the
dignity within him, he became self- confident and it instiled the spirit of ‘I can and I will do it.’
This strength Swamiji wanted to develop in youth and believe me our education system is not
teaching them life skills .He remained the richest person in America. But the moment he
changed his attitude, he became a happier person. And he was very much respected. And
even today he is respected because one of the biggest foundations doing so much service
         activities all over the world.
So, friends, self-respect is not one point. The sole purpose of going there is enjoying a great
luxurious life. Many people told me in spite of getting a very high job, they are still considered
to be our own company is having a different skill for NRI and for the local people. Our own
company, great transportation. So, if that type of treatment is given still our people are there
because they don't have a sense of patriotism sense of self respect that we can excel. And if
we decide we can do what other countries have done. If they have that mind, can I not do it
here? Swami told his disciples that India has committed a mistake that they have their own
comfort zone. We are great in many things but we need to learn certain things from other
countries also. Other countries are far ahead in Business growth, industrial, scientific,
revolutions due to our narrow vision. But at the same time, he said don't forget our nation,
because it is the place where you have grown, where you want your education. So, impart
these values in your child if you wish to go abroad then why do you want to go? How can you
contribute to your organization, to your institution or to your country, your society, even your
