the right vision is given the freedom to develop it the way he likes. And then the institution
develops all the departments, all the initiatives. So, if the main person behind it, is right, it
may be one person or many persons, if the competent person is there with clear vision, then
automatically buildings and infrastructures are secondary. You may have multiple buildings,
organizations but you should excel from both the point of view of academic skills and also
the life skills which are more important.
Let me add again and again, where we are altering as a nation is not in academic skills. Our
scholars, our scientists, our engineers are almost. If you go to any country, you find they are
actually there, but unfortunately, they're not working for the country. That is the main
problem. So academic skills are there, but because of lack of life skills, all our training, all the
valuable money which has been put into the fits and all the big educational institutions of
excellence is being taken by multinational companies and other nations.
Of course, they are also part of the world. We believe in a universal global mission. Swamiji
always believed that we should be intensely nationalist. If we don't have that feeling, if we
don't feel the education with which we can build our position. Then this person who does not
have love for nation should be called a traitor. He used this word. He may go for study, that
doesn't matter. But if he forgets the very source, the very money with which he was
educated that I explained his money. If he forgets that, then somewhere very clearly, he says
in one of his letters, he says, I call every man in India having been educated at the expense of
millions of people. Because there's educational tax process which is made by every poor
person of this country is going to educate our so many colleges, off course, the government
colleges, the students study. And unfortunately, till recently 70% of the best students went
abroad. And they have created huge multinational corporations. We feel proud of it, no
doubt. But how has the nation benefited? The money means the hard toiled money. The hard
toil of our masses, of our laborers, of our poor people have won't educate these people. Even
now. I was surprised that the fees in some of our Kindergarden is 1500 and our government
engineering colleges are paying them. So, it is our moral responsibility. And since we are
sensitive to these issues and whenever we approach Dasharathabhai to help students.
There are many occasions I visited him and I've seen it development so far. So, we are
thankful to him for building centre of excellence Tapovan in North Gujarat. So, we have a
desire to spread Swami Vivekanands’ ideas to our youth. And unfortunately, we are not given
those ideas the way the youth understand. You know, someday which are we thought of
taking this initiative. If people can't talk, we should go to the people. Even a lot of hard work
people like let us go to each and every niche, each and every corner of Gujarat, at least we
will get some idea and with this idea, if somebody gets some inspiration, from past people
including Jamshedji Tata, Swami Vivekanand himself wanted to get help for higher education
from India , if such inspiration goes to our youth, we do not know there will be several such
wonderful institutions. So always remember, it is a man cantered approach we have. We
always have man making education, if one man is ready then hundreds of institutions like
Ganpat university emerge. We have seen the technical application of that idea but person
should have some kind of vision, knowledge is required, life skills are required, and a very,
very innovative spirit is required. Swami Vivekanand always believed in doing some kind of
