Yet, to truly make a difference in the lives of a billion people, aspiring individuals should
consider the role of an impact entrepreneur. The startup and entrepreneurship movement
has demonstrated its unique ability to provide a vast platform for creating unprecedented
change, surpassing other available avenues. In our discussions of unicorns with billion-dollar
valuations, it's crucial to shift the focus to 'Impact Unicorns'—solutions that can positively
influence a billion lives in a country like India.
We're witnessing a transformation where initiatives in pedagogy, skill development,
entrepreneurship, and a values-driven vision, as exemplified by the students at Ganpat
University, collectively contribute to nurturing talent and providing opportunities. This, in
turn, equips our youth to develop solutions for the one billion people in our country. The goal
is to cultivate a generation of impact entrepreneurs, a necessity as we aim for India to
become a startup nation by 2047. The time to start is now.
We have a 25-year mission ahead, and it is the youth of today who will emerge as the
prominent entrepreneurs shaping the future of India. They are the ones who will drive our
nation towards becoming a startup
powerhouse. To realize this ambitious
mission, we recognize the need for
numerous institutions like Ganpat
University, each contributing to creating a
significant impact on the Indian
landscape.
Recent technological developments, such
as the rapid rise of Chat GPT, have
transformed the conversation. While
discussions around artificial intelligence,
blockchain, IoT, and others persisted, the
emergence of Chat GPT has disrupted the
tech landscape, reaching ever y
household, society, sector, and domain. This shift brings about a sense of confusion as
people grapple with how to navigate and integrate these changes into their practices.
The evolving technological landscape, marked by an increasing delta of change,
necessitates a dynamic approach to preparing individuals for the future. Ganpat University is
playing a commendable role by establishing models for the university system, providing a
platform for the youth to recognize and unleash their potential. The university's focus is not
to dictate specific actions but to stimulate thoughts, trigger minds, and install model
behaviours that empower individuals to propel their ideas forward. This approach builds a
meta-skill set, enabling individuals to impact any task or project they undertake.
Drawing from personal experience as the former Commissioner of Higher Education,
overseeing the establishment of 25 private universities in the last two to three years, I
witnessed the collective aspiration to achieve world-class status. In this pursuit, these
institutions have a valuable example and model to learn from right in their backyard—the
