15 CONVOCATION
Mr. Bhupeshbhai Parikh and Mrs. Kumudben Parikh joined hands with Padma Shri
Ganpatbhai Patel and Mrs. Manjulaben Patel in their bid to realise their long-
cherished dream of uplifting society through education by unreservedly donating a
staggering 5 Crore rupees towards the establishment of a high-tech nursing college.
The one-of-a-kind nursing building will have sophisticated classrooms and fully-
equipped laboratories from which the students of Gujarat will be immensely
benefited. It is really heartening and inspiring to learn that Ganpat University boasts
of about 55,000 students who have completed their studies, or are doing business
on a global scale. From among these, many are associated with fields such as
Medical or Health Care, and whose experience will directly benefit Nursing college
students.
Besides, an MoU signed with one of the biggest Multi-speciality hospitals will also
serve as a springboard to nursing students for practical and clinical training. What is
more satisfying to know is that this Gujarati couple from Kadi is driven by the desire
to create great futuristic opportunities for the underrated and unprivileged students.
Moreover, as part of an agreement between Ganpat University and USA-based
Glendale Community College which has received an endowment from Mr. Parikh,
professors based in the USA will impart training to these students of nursing college.
This will essentially help create opportunities for the students to go overseas for
higher studies.
Befitting its spirit of Social Upliftment through Education, Ganpat University took up
the challenge to lock horns with COVID-19. In the wake of COVID crisis the university
took some important measures. Be it observing COVID guidelines to the letter,
donating generously towards CM CARES Fund or availing best of the facilities to
people of nearby villages, Ganpat University has indeed enlivened the wisdom of Jan
Seva Ej Prabhu Seva. I strongly believe that such institutions are the cornerstone for
development of India in general, and Gujarat in particular.
I once again congratulate all the awardees and wish them all the best in their
endeavors. May you serve humanity in your best capacity. Jay Hind.
