dream can be converted into reality when you’ve enthroned an ideal of social service
in your heart, how a tiny acorn can shoot up to be a mighty oak with a constant belief
to do something good for the society, and how soon a trickle of water can get
transformed into a huge torrent of knowledge for the betterment of society.

For any university, a convocation ceremony serves as an occasion to reflect on what
has been accomplished in the past year, make plans for the future and honor
graduate students. It has been my observation that many of the national and
international universities of repute are located in far-flung places but, to my mind
what makes a university great is primarily its ethos - the culture, aspirations and the
spirit of that university. And the same air of excellence and the promise of a robust
vision I can feel here at Ganpat University. I can perceive that Ganpat “University
also has enormous potential to surpass many milestones in the near future.”

Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat has created a wide
network of health and medical care facilities in the state to provide primary,
secondary, and tertiary health care at the doorstep of every citizen of Gujarat with a
prime focus on BPL families and weaker sections in rural/urban slum areas.

To facilitate the improvement of systems and processes of service delivery in the
healthcare facilities, the Health Ministry of Gujarat is running a number of programs
like State Quality Improvement Programme (SQIP), Sickle Cell Anemia Control
Program, ASHA SAMMELAN, E-MAMTA (Mother & Child Information Tracking
System), Mission Balam Sukham, Mamta Doli.

One of the cardinal initiatives of the government NHM (National Health Mission), was
conceived mainly to provide effective health care to the rural population, especially
the disadvantaged groups and vulnerable sections of society, including women and
children. This mission stresses on improving access to healthcare services, enabling
community ownership and demand for services, strengthening public health
systems for efficient service delivery, enhancing equity and accountability and
promoting decentralization. It covers the entire country, with a special focus on 18
states where the challenge of strengthening poor public health systems and thereby
improving key health indicators is the greatest.
Performance Monitoring and Control Centre (PMCC), which was the brainchild of
Commissionerate of Health, GUJARAT to integrate medical data analysis with real-
time performance monitoring and reporting, advanced data warehousing and
customizable executive and Information Dashboards. With real-time information, the
management can take the right decision at the right place and time - be it policy
making, capacity or resource planning or clinical/quality initiatives.

So long as containing and tackling COVID-19 is concerned, the Govt. of Gujarat has
indeed shown tremendous resolve. Since the first cases of COVID-19 were recorded,
