15 CONVOCATION
dream can be converted into reality when you’ve enthroned an ideal of social service
in your heart, how a tiny acorn can shoot up to be a mighty oak with a constant belief
to do something good for the society, and how soon a trickle of water can get
transformed into a huge torrent of knowledge for the betterment of society.
For any university, a convocation ceremony serves as an occasion to reflect on what
has been accomplished in the past year, make plans for the future and honor
graduate students. It has been my observation that many of the national and
international universities of repute are located in far-flung places but, to my mind
what makes a university great is primarily its ethos - the culture, aspirations and the
spirit of that university. And the same air of excellence and the promise of a robust
vision I can feel here at Ganpat University. I can perceive that Ganpat “University

network of health and medical care facilities in the state to provide primary,

prime focus on BPL families and weaker sections in rural/urban slum areas.

System), Mission Balam Sukham, Mamta Doli.

community ownership and demand for services, strengthening public health
systems for efficient service delivery, enhancing equity and accountability and
promoting decentralization. It covers the entire country, with a special focus on 18
states where the challenge of strengthening poor public health systems and thereby
improving key health indicators is the greatest.
