            ‘Amrit Kaal Vision 2047’.
            Moreover, the Government of
India is working to realize its
            vision of ‘Ports for Prosperity
            and Ports for Progress’. India
            and Indians are not just
            managing shipping
            companies, global ports and
            hubs and operating ships,
            but also are steering and
            driving the global economy.
Following the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon's South Pole, we are
now preparing for the 'Samudrayaan' mission, a groundbreaking journey to explore
6,000-meter-deep ocean waters and to study the deep-sea resources and
            biodiversity assessment.
There cannot be a better and more promising time to enter into a professional career

SUSTAINABILITY – A CHALLENGE TO BE SURMOUNTED.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by all United Nations
Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for
people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries,
developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending
poverty and other deprivations must go hand in hand with strategies that improve
health and education, reduce inequality and spur economic growth – all of this has
to be achieved while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans
            and forests.

Now that the global destination has been envisioned, it is for us as a collective need
to navigate as to how we reach these goals coupling the following four elements –
collaboration and cooperation + equity + inclusion + sustainability and these four
ingredients need to be bound together by the tether of Innovation.

The international Maritime Union has advocated an approach to GreenHouse Gas
Reduction by way of standards – Technical (Eg:- How the ship is designed) and –
Operational ( How the ship is operated)

The First IMO GHG Reduction Regulatory Regime adopted in 2011 – Chapter
4 of MARPOL Annexe VI introduces two mandatory mechanisms as energy
            efficiency standards for ships
