ASSOCHAM, and the only university from Gujarat to have secured a position in India
Today's Best University rankings 2018. Besides, Gujarat Government has also

conferred the Best Placement Provider Award to Ganpat University this year.
Today Ganpat University has inaugurated Vikram Neil Sports Academy to fulfill the
dream of the nation. As the saying in English goes, “All work and no Play makes Jack a
Dull boy”. It has been forgotten that academic learning and sports education

complement each other. They resemble the two sides of the same coin. If sports
education is carried out accompanied with the academic curriculum, the overall
personality of the student can be ensured in a fruitful manner. The qualities of
leadership, sharing, team spirit and tolerance are learnt from sports. Sports education
not only teaches the students to maintain the physical stamina, but also develops

virtues like obedience, discipline, the determination to win, willpower and so on. The
power of reasoning, mental development, vocational specialization come from the
academic education of the students. Therefore, sports education along with the
academic result in the all-round development of the students. A tribal Athlete from
Dang district, Twenty-Two years old Sarita Gaekwad represented the country at the
World Relay Championship. I hope from this university also produce these types of

athlete for the state and the country.
Today Gujarat is contributing in Agriculture, Economics, Computer technology, Medical

Science and Transportation. Our state and the country needs young talented engineers
and scientist like you. You should ask the question to yourself “Where do I go from
here?”. Take time to draw out a clear picture of what you wish to achieve in your career. If
you are clear about the direction, the path will also be clear. So whether you are going to
pursue your higher studies, go for it or set up your own enterprise . Be clear about where
you are heading and be sure that the path you have chosen leads you to where you truly

wish to go.
India is becoming a startup hub. Opportunity for growth is enormous, which we had

never seen in our lifetime. A report says that more than 400 plus startups expanded
globally into full-fledged business enterprises including travel and hospitality company
Oyo, cab aggregator Ola, Edutech Byju's, Zomato and Wittyfeed. The startup ecosystem
has also added 40,000+ jobs this year, with the total employee base now standing at 1.7
lakh. I am proud to say that Ganpat University has a Nodal Centre for Start Up initiatives
and many project are in the embryo state here at present. I am sure it will contribute
