       Workshops
       1st and 2nd June,2022
Printmaking Workshop using the CYANOTYPE TECHNIQUE
       By Mr. Rajarshi
At FADP, Ganpat University, a Printmaking Workshop showcasing the Cyanotype Technique was held on June 1 and June 2,
2022. Renowned Printmaker, Artist, and Art-Educator Mr. Rajarshi Smart from Surat facilitated the workshop, leveraging his 15
years of expertise in the field.
Cyanotype, an innovative camera-less photographic printing process, was pioneered in 1842 by scientist and astronomer Sir
John Herschel. This method involves exposing a chemical-coated surface to sunlight, resulting in striking cyan-blue prints.

The students at FADP delved into this distinctive printmaking technique as part of their elective coursework. Additionally, they
gained exposure to various printmaking techniques, enabling them to comprehend diverse materials and production systems.
This holistic approach plays a pivotal role in shaping architecture and design education.
