Measurement of performance, awareness and perception of farmers for selected
agriculture credit schemes mentioned above has been studied.
Structure of thesis
Chapter 1: This chapter explains the introduction of Indian agriculture, agriculture credit,
and various agriculture credit schemes. The chapter also explains the increasing
requirement for agriculture credit and how the government has achieved the same target.
The three agriculture credit schemes have also been discussed briefly in this part.
Chapter 2: The second chapter deals with a literature review relevant to agriculture credit,
crop loan, Kisan Credit Card, Crop loan, awareness level about the agriculture credit
scheme, information asymmetry, and the Socio-economic impact of the availability of
agriculture credits. The chapter ends with finding gaps and determinants of the choice of
agriculture credits.
Chapter 3: The third chapter represents the research methodology which covers research
questions, hypothesis formulation, research design, sampling design, reliability, and
validity test. The tests applied to test hypotheses have also been discussed briefly.
Chapter 4: Chapter four provides descriptive statistical results and performance
measurement of crop loans, Kisan Credit Card, and Interest Subvention Schemes. It also
seeks to explain the results of Chi-square, Multiple regression, and Multinominal logistic
regression.
Chapter 5: Chapter five seeks to explain the results of statistical tests, conclusions, and
suggestions. It also provides details on the implications and further scope of the study.
