viable and profitable for Banaskantha district considering the Cost C2; whereas the return
on investment for castor cultivation is viable and profitable for all the categories of
farmers considering the Cost C1, but not much viable and profitable for Small farmers
and Large farmers considering the Cost C2.
The present research provides feedback to the stakeholders and policy makers to review
theaspects of castor cultivation in Gujarat to make the crop more economically viable
and market competitive. The similar research at India level may help Indian cultivators to
build global competitiveness in castor cultivation.
