The empowerment of women is an important precondition for the development of
humanity. In the last many years under proactive leadership, Gujarat Government has
taken a series of steps to further integrate women into the development journey of
Gujarat; politically, economically and socially. These initiatives have been taken up by the
state Government’s combined vision, innovation and effective implementation.

empowerment by providing basic education, vocational training, training for self-
employment, legal aid, protection for women and self-awareness programs. Thus, they
are mainly concerned with the upliftment of the women in the society.

Gujarat and NGOs for promoting women empowerment. The study also measures the
relationship between awareness of various Government Schemes for women
empowerment and use and Their effect on the quality-of-life of women. Data were and
collected from 1009 respondents from Gujarat. Multiple regressions, factor Analysis,
Confirmatory factor analysis was used to evaluate the results.

The study provides information for women empowerment and their development in Rural
Gujarat. The study can help strategy and policy makers to design a better plan and
