What’s more, it goes without saying that his selfless donation of Rs 110 crore, which
is likely the single largest donation made to education in the country by an individual,
has helped to establish an institution that has educated and empowered over
70,000+ students to date and will always be a source for "Social transformation
through Education" for centuries to come.
Ganpat University has set out on the mission of empowering youth in the two new
fields of knowledge with worldwide quality: nursing, physiotherapy, and optometry.
This mission is driven by the necessity of the hour. Additionally, the university
successfully expanded its reach this year into the following new fields: Nautical
Science, Business Analytics, Innovation Entrepreneurship & Venture Development,
Pharmaceutical Analysis, Food Technology, Petrochemical Engineering, Cyber
Security, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Automation, Logistics and Supply Chain
Management, BioMedical Sciences, and Medical Lab Technology. These fields focus
on developing industry-relevant manpower to meet the needs of the industry and
are described as "next-generation" fields.
We as a system, the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of
Gujarat has also created a wide network of health and medical care facilities in the
state to provide primary, secondary, and tertiary health care at the doorstep of every
citizen of Gujarat, with a prime focus on BPL families and weaker sections in rural
and urban slum areas.
To facilitate the improvement of the systems and processes of service delivery in
healthcare institutions, the Gujarat Ministry of Health implements a number of
programs including the State Quality Improvement Program (SQIP), Sickle Cell
Anemia Control Program, ASHA SAMMELAN, E-MAMTA (Mother & Child Information
Tracking System), Mission Balam Sukham and Mamta Doli. One of the government's
key initiatives, the National Health Mission (NHM), was designed primarily to provide
effective health care to rural populations, particularly disadvantaged groups and
vulnerable sections of society, including women and children. This mission
emphasizes improving access to health services, promoting community ownership
and demand for services, strengthening public health systems for efficient service
delivery, improving equity and accountability, and encouraging decentralization. It
covers the entire country, with a particular focus on 18 states where the challenge of
strengthening poor public health systems and thereby improving key health
indicators is greatest.
The Performance Monitoring and Control Center (PMCC), which was an idea of the
Gujarat Commissionerate of Health, integrates medical data analytics with real-time
performance monitoring and reporting, advanced data warehousing, and
