Abstract :
The synthesis of aqueous stable water soluble silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by using
extract of Zeylanicum. In this study bark were extracted with alcohol, further this extract is
react with silver ions for the preparation of water stable silver nanoparticles . After the
preparation the Colour change observed from colourless to dark yellow and Surface
Plasmon Resonance band (UV-Vis) 420nm which indicates the synthesis of plant
reduced silver nanoparticles. Characterization by Infrared Spectroscopy (IR) shows the
presence of biomolecules as capping agents, which effect the stability of AgNPs in the
colloids by increasing their size. Transition electron microscopy (TEM) confirmed the
presence at spherical size AgNPs in the range of 0-35nm. The bacterial activity of
standard antibiotics was significantly increased in the presence of AgNPs against
pathogenic bacteria, DMSO, S. Aureus, Staphylococcus, E-Coli, Putida and A. Niger.
