       Skill2Career: Empowering Goa’s Meritorious Students with Future-Ready Skills


        The  Faculty  of  Skill  Development  at  Ganpat  University,  in  collaboration  with  the  Ganpat  &  Manju  Foundation,
        successfully organized a 10-day skill training program – Skill2Career from January 21st to January 31st, 2025. These
        programs were supported by SAS, IBM, and the National Additive Manufacturing Center West as technical training
        partners, ensuring high-quality, industry-driven learning. The program was conducted at Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye
        Government College of Arts & Commerce, Virnoda, Pernem, Goa.
        Our Hon’ble Patron-In-Chief & President, Dr. Ganpatbhai Patel (Dada) emphasized the importance of skilling youngsters
        in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world to cater to the growing global demand for Indian human resource and
        become smart entrepreneurs, aligning with the national mission of Viksit Bharat 2047. Dr. Mahendra Sharma, Group Pro
        Chancellor, Ganpat University, highlighted the need for an industry-academia interface to bridge the gap between
        academic knowledge and industry job skills ensuring students are equipped with advanced knowledge, industry-ready
        skills.
        A total of 167 students from 10 different colleges across Goa, including Science and Engineering institutions as well as
        ITIs, participated in the program. The training programme under Skill2Career involved skilling in three core areas
        including Certificate Programme in Python by IBM experts, Certificate Programme in Analytics by SAS India experts, and
        Certificate Programme in Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) by expert from National Additive Manufacturing Centre
        West, enabling students to gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and practical industry insights.
        The  overwhelming  participation  and  enthusiastic  response  of  students  highlighted  the  importance  of  skill-based
        learning and its role in bridging the gap between academics and industry needs.
        This initiative stands as a milestone in empowering Goa’s youth with future-ready competencies and strengthening
        their pathways from Skill to Career.
