BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Course Details

The Electrical Engineering department was established in the year 2011 offering bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with intake (Seats) of 60. Following year (2012), the master programme was also started with intake (Seats) of 18. The qualified and dedicated faculty members are the strength of the department with 100% faculty members having Master degree. The department boasts of various newly developed laboratories, with state of art equipment and facilities. Quality teaching, with overall personality development of the students, is the motto of the department. Therefore, here, the students are encouraged not only to excel in studies but also to develop their minds and personalities through various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. So, on one hand, the classes are engaged with complete dedication and regularity, and on the other hand, the other activities like technical workshops, STTP, industry visits, expert lectures, poster competitions, extempore, etc are organized with equal enthusiasm.

Eligibility

Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design solutions for complex technical problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Perform investigations, design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret the results to provide valid conclusions.

Select/develop and apply appropriate techniques and IT tools for the design & analysis of the systems.

Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
